‘The Future of Screen Printing in India’ Panel Discussion Creates Blueprint to Propel Screen Printing Forward

09 March 2023: On March 3, 2023, day two of the debut edition of Screen Print India – Industrial, a Panel Discussion was held with the theme ‘The Future of Screen Printing in India’. Devang Sheth, Secretary, Screenprinting & Graphics Association of India (SGAI), welcomed those gathered and explained that through the session, eminent thought leaders of the industry would enlighten them on the way forward with a glimpse of what one could expect during the next ten years.

The panellists comprised Anand Belulkar, DGM Sales (South & West), Fujifilm Sericol India (P) Ltd., Pune; Rajesh Vaity, Vice President (Printed Products), PRS Permacel (P) Ltd. (Now Part of Saint Gobain Group); Shailesh Deshpande, Managing Director, DecalTech, Thane; M. Sudharshan, CEO, Integral Labels (P) Ltd., Bangalore; Ajay Gandhi, CEO, Kunal Enterprise, Mumbai; Mukul Shetty, Business Head Keetronics (India) (P) Ltd., Pune with TKS Lakshmipriya, Professor & Head, Printing Technology, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, being the moderator.

The topics discussed included the extent to which the screen printing industry has progressed from revival to resurgence, key development drivers that have facilitated this growth story, technology advances that improved precision, efficiency and quality, the significance of timely delivery adhering to specified standards, importance of trained and skilled manpower, challenges faced, greater opportunities for using different printing methods in tandem and the future of screen printing in India and across the globe.

Mementoes were presented by Samson Simon, Regional Head, Messe Frankfurt India (P) Ltd. to the participants followed by the vote of thanks for an eventful session by Devang Sheth.
