Smart Enterprises – A New Retail Shop Inaugurated at Vasai

17 August 2022: Sunil Popat, a well-known personality in the screen printing industry in Mumbai has recently opened a new retail shop at Vasai (East) in the name of ‘Smart Enterprises.’ Explaining the rationale behind this move, he said, “Textile Printers based at the Vasai-Virar-Palghar region were facing lot of problems in getting the quality inks and materials. It is fast developing into a textile printing hub and they had to travel all the way to Dadar to get these things, which meant a lot of time being wasted and logistics issues as well. I am also helping the printers with resolving the technical problems that they are facing in their day-to-day printing and providing them good quality and reasonable priced heat press & related textile printing equipment.”

His Partner, Anil Gandhi, says, “We have over 100+ textile printers in this region; as our clients are here, we are looking forward to expand in Vasai-Virar which is a part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and is the 5th largest city in Maharashtra. This area is fast developing and we are specialised in textiles chemical, plastisol inks, all shade, matching shade, specially ordered, we have water-based series like stretch khadi, cotton khadi, table binder, etc.”

The eastern part of Vasai is highly industrialized, with a substantial number of small and medium scale units producing a wide variety of goods and has become a preferred zone for screen printing related units. There has been a visible improvement in infrastructure and economic development as a result. The region is well-connected; the railway station Vasai Road links it to various parts of the country.
