SJS Enterprises plans Rs.30 crore for Optical Cover Glass Capacity Expansion
30 March 2024: As per news reports, Bengaluru-based SJS Enterprises Ltd. has recently shared its plans to make an investment of Rs. 30 crore towards setting up capacity for producing optical cover glasses. These glasses provide protective layers for TFT (Thin Film Transistor) screens in SUVs, thereby increasing the functionality aspect as well as aesthetics. The company is said to have recently obtained a quality system certificate for this new technology and engaging with customers in the proof of concept and validation phase. After having received positive feedback, it is now set for receiving orders and undertaking production going forward.
The media has quoted a report by Nuvama Institutional Equities, which states that the investment is projected to yield potential revenue of Rs.100 crore, with orders envisaged during the financial year 2025 and production scheduled to commence in the next fiscal.
