Shilpan Enterprises Group: 50 Years and Still Growing Steadily
02 November 2021: Shilpan Shah and his brother Sachin Shah are celebrating the Golden Jubilee – 50 years of their Group, comprising Shilpan Enterprises and Swastik Trading Company. It is engaged in supply of a wide range of fabrics for screen printing, textile printing and filtration industry all over India.
While Shilpan Shah joined the family business in 1990, his brother Sachin Shah joined in 2000. “It was our natural decision to join the family business. At that time there was not much digital printing and hence screen printing was growing and it was easy for us to move forward with the strong foundation of our father. Digital picked up only after 2010, yet screen was not much affected in the textile sector,” says Shilpan Shah.
He adds, “Our 50 years success is mainly due to the hard work and goodwill created by our father late Suryakant Shah who founded the group in 1971 and believed in offering quality products coupled with reliable service, competitive price and timely delivery – 4 key elements of our business that stands on goodwill and relationship. We ensure timely delivery (24- 48 hours) of these products to our clients so they do not have to keep a huge stock of fabric. We cannot be carefree and rest, effort to grow in business is a continuous process and we follow our father’s legacy and his blessing is a guiding force for us. We understand the market trends and customer’s demands and offer them the best solution.”
Shilpan Group is one of the leading suppliers of Bolting Cloth, HDPE Net, Filter Cloth, etc. “Over the years we have gained a huge client base in the market. We have over 70 distributors all over India to cater to the commercial segment and we have over 400 direct customer base all over India in the textile and filtration industry. While the textile and filtration industry are 75% of our volume, the balance is from the commercial segment. Digital technology is slowly affecting the commercial segment business. Even during COVID-19 our business was affected by 20-25% but we made recovery very fast as we are promoting our products online,” Shah adds.
