Shashank Nadkarni Leads Bicycle Distribution to Adivasi Students of Ramkrishna Pimputkar Vidyalaya, in Palghar

23 March 2022: Shashank Nadkarni, CEO of Screen Solutions, along with other 15 like-minded persons, distributed bicycles to around 40 Adivasi students of Ramkrishna Pimputkar Vidyalaya at Vevaji Village in Talasari (Maharashtra). The distribution ceremony was held on 23rd March 2022 at the School premises. The function was attended by the Principal of the School, Mrs. Pimputkar and her teaching team along with students. The project was funded by Rajesh Rayonia, an entrepreneur based in the USA.

We were planning to organise this bicycle distribution ceremony for the last 15-20 days. The school is right in front of my home and after seeing the needs of the school students who come walking from far off places, we decided to donate bicycles to them. We have decided to adopt the School for helping them in scholarships, educational and sports activities throughout the year. There are 125 Adivasi students in the School, says Shashank Nadkarni, adding, We are also helping them to set up toilets (2 for boys and 2 for girls) and Labs in the school.

While giving the background of the 40-year old School and its establishment, Mrs. Pimputkar, Principal who is also the Trustee, said, We sold property including ornaments to build the school for the underprivileged children in this remote place.

“I feel, as entrepreneurs, despite our busy work schedules, we need to look here and there around our society to help the poor and underprivileged. So, we have assured the School management to assist their students when they go for higher education, by collaborating with some leading Institutes”, said Nadkarni.
