SGAI (India) to Support ESMA’s Screen Print Innovations 2025 Expo
23 December 2024: Screen printing has a new home – Screen Print Innovations (SPI) – and the Indian industry members are all geared up to participate in it. To be held from June 3-5, 2025 at Messe Essen, Germany, the brand-new show, will witness a convergence of print system developers, ink and other consumables producers, integrators, distributors, value-added resellers, print manufacturers and product owners. It promotes screen and pad as a process and opens its doors to both suppliers and users of the technology, the leading technology in various industrial, functional and textile applications.
The icing on the cake, for the industry members in this country is that Screenprinting and Graphics Association of India (SGAI), the official national screen printing association, which represents the country in various forums across the globe, has confirmed its support to the event.
Anil Brahmbhatt, President, SGAI, said, “As a dedicated national-level screen printing and graphics industry association, SGAI has worked tirelessly on several fronts with the intent of ensuring that Indian screen print businesses are better represented and showcased, not only within the country but also beyond India’s borders. Extending SGAI’s support for Screen Print Innovations (SPI) is yet another step in this direction. Enabling SGAI members to connect with business communities and facilitate their exploration of neighbouring markets, as well as gaining knowledge are our objectives and we look forward to arranging mutually beneficial interactions for them through SPI 2025.”
“Although seasoned, screen and pad printing keep on evolving and advancing in terms of precision, automation and quality. Applications across different market segments drive continual innovation. The key is disseminating that innovation,” says Peter Buttiens, CEO of ESMA, the European Specialist Printing Manufacturers Association, organiser of SPI. “We build on the experience of our members and know-how accumulated in over thirty years of our service to the industry. Together we have recognised the need for a format which will present the latest developments and discuss the power of expanding, adapting or combining for specific market requirements.”
Among SPI’s launch partners are world leading suppliers of industrial screen print, such as CST, Drop, Fimor, Gallus, GPE A. Ardenghi, Grafco, Grünig, Kissel+Wolf, Lüscher Technologies, Printcolor, Pröll, PVF Mesh & Screen Technology, RK Siebdrucktechnik, Saati, Sefar, SignTronic, Sport PrintLab, SPS TechnoScreen, Sun Chemical, Thieme and VFP Ink Technologies. More than 70+ exhibitors and thousands of visitors are expected in the modern facilities of Messe Essen. “The event is pursuing ambitious goals with which we at Messe Essen fully identify. We are convinced that Essen is the ideal location for SPI and that it will develop excellently with us,” commented Oliver P. Kuhrt, CEO of Messe Essen.
As screen printing remains the technology of choice for most industrial and high-tech applications, Screen Print Innovations applies a horizontal approach. Automotive, printed electronics, Internet of Things, healthcare, luxury packaging, textiles… are only some examples of markets which are welcome to attend SPI 2025. Brand and product owners will benefit from the extreme diversity of the process and its implementation in seemingly unrelated fields. Those new to screen or pad should come to understand the capabilities of the thriving technologies.
