SGAI Felicitates ASGA Print Award Competition Winners, SkyScreen Dignitaries …
30 April 2024: The Asia Screen Printing & Graphic Imaging Association (ASGA) print award competition 2023 proved to be a tremendous success and Indian printers kept the national flag flying high there as well. During the SkyScreen Fab-15 function, these Indian printers were recognised and honoured onstage in the presence of their peers gathered from across the nation by Screenprinting & Graphics Association of India (SGAI), which is a board member of ASGA.
Mr Sidhuraj from Vasit Prints, Tirupur was felicitated for bagging a gold medal in the Textile Printing Category. Sunil Kale from Dome Tech Art (P) Ltd., Pune was felicitated for bagging a silver medal in the Graphic Reproduction Category, a bronze medal in the Others Category and a bronze medal in the Mixed Techniques Category. Sripal Patel from Oceans Deep Printers, Ahmedabad was felicitated for bagging a silver medal in the Mixed Techniques Category and a bronze medal in the Mixed Techniques Category.
Elaborating on the significance of the achievement, Anil Brahmbhatt, said that, “It is a matter of immense pride for SGAI as well as the Indian screen printing industry. I extend my heartiest congratulations to these three Print Awards 2023 winners from India while applauding their creative efforts and commendable accomplishment. Three cheers to them!” The ASGA Print Awards were established in 2001 as part of the ASGA brand campaign to recognise the excellent screen prints, special effect prints and digital prints. It is a platform for printers to showcase their inspiration, skills, talent, creativity and innovation. ASGA Print Awards 2023 was the 11th of its series, attracting hundreds of print samples from China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, India, Korea and other Asia Pacific regions. Assessment was done of the entries that have never been sent to the competition and are produced by screen printing, digital printing and related printing process.
Unique Labels was then honoured for being recently conferred with the ACMA Cluster Star Performer Award for its significant performance in the ACMA UDAY PRIDE Program.
The SGAI Committee members then presented a memento and shawl to SkyScreen consortium members; Anil Brahmbhatt, Tetsuro Emori, Martin Stacher, Dirk Oelschläger and Ken Emori.
