Seminar Conducted on ‘Customisation on Canvas Shoes’ at Brother DTG Demo Centre, Bangalore
30 November 2022: Enhancing awareness holds the key to the progress and growth of any industry. Leading brands play an important role in this aspect by disseminating the specialised knowledge. One such instance was a seminar conducted on November 23, 2022 at the Brother GT Demo Centre, Bangalore. The theme was ‘Customisation on Canvas shoes (ankle length and low)’ and the informative session was held for a duration of six hours.
Brother DTG highlighted its USP and pathbreaking approach with regard to shoe printing. Santosh Jaiswar, Manager, Garment Printer Division said, “Currently, the D2C business model demands printing not only on t-shirts but to have a wide variety of product ranges. So why stop at a t-shirt or tote bag if you can customise your favourite canvas ? Brother DTG printers have a large print head-to-substrate gap that allows them to print over seams, zippers and even shoe eyelets. Acculine camera system make sure the positioning of the image on the shoe happens accurately and the end customer gets what they need. One can print on ready-made shoes with the help of the Brother Shoe platen.”
Elaborating on the rationale behind organising the session, he said, “The seminar was organised because the market knowledge regarding custom printing is really limited, one only sees examples of customisation on T-shirts, sweatshirts and tank tops. India is the second biggest manufacturer of shoes and still the product list is limited to conventional canvas shoes, just white or black. It is important to give some new products in the market with custom printing option, which encourages the local sale of the local manufacturers. Digital printing is the next solution for India where industrial development is growing fast. We have to support our manufacturer in all the possible ways where they can use one machine of Brother DTG for the maximum number of the product and grow.”
The participants from North India (Agra) and South India (Bangalore) attending the seminar, greatly appreciated the initiative and efforts made by the company to enhance their awareness.
