Screen Print India Pays Homage to Late Bhaurao Patil

27 July 2022: Bhaurao Patil from Belgaum, passed away on 23rd July 2022 due to a heart attack. He was 77 years old. He is survived by his wife Ratnamala, son Pravin and two daughters Jayshree and Supriya.

During the initial phase of his career, he was an architect / draughtsman, working in civilian duty with Maratha Light Infantry. In his spare time, he would teach young entrepreneurs screen printing between 1980 to 2014.

Screen Printing (Serigraphy) was a passion for him and by passing on his knowledge he made hundreds of people self-sufficient in life. He had started a training institute in Belgaum by the name of Bhau Serigraphic Institute and it was running successfully for 34 years.

Over the years, he has trained hundreds of students in screen printing. Today, his students are highly successful in the industry throughout India and in overseas countries as well. He used to regularly visit the Screen Print India Exhibitions and was very much enthusiastic to learn about new products and trends being introduced in the industry.

Devang Sheth, Publisher, Screen Print India, fondly reminisced, “He was a very good friend and my Guru or well-wisher also. He supported me in the starting years of the magazine and with his support and guidance, we had organised a technical seminar in Belgaum and a mini print expo in Hubli. He also actively participated in Screen Print Indore in the year 1997. He was a well-known name in printing industry in North Karnataka. Always ready to help the young printers and a man with the mission to help the screen printing industry grow and develop new talent.”

May his Soul Rest in Peace.
