ROQ Wins Caixa ESG Award

13 March 2024: ROQ Group has won an ESG award. The challenges of companies in the ESG Era – aim to recognise and encourage Portuguese companies that are committed to sustainable development objectives and incorporate ESG criteria into their management and activities. This time it was the Caixa ESG Award, granted by their country’s biggest financial institution. Only 25 national companies were able to win this award, and ROQ, represented by its human resources director, Fábia Martins, was one of those.

This is yet another distinction that strengthens the company’s policy and encourages it to invest more and more in ESG actions. For example, last year alone, ROQ carried out several initiatives and measures within the framework of the ESG. These included support for the local community, through donations and the collection of goods and funds, reducing the use of plastic and the waste of residues, installing solar panels on its 34,000 square meters factory and reducing energy consumption.

As part of the company’s annual ESG program, this February it carried out two activities that had a huge impact inside and outside ROQ. As part of another initiative in the ROQ Group’s annual ESG program, it decided to help a local institution that promotes social inclusion and combats poverty and discrimination. It had the honour of helping the local PSI-ON association with more than two dozen baskets of essential goods.

The company also inaugurated its organic garden, which aims to combat food waste and alert all ROQ employees to the importance of sustainability. Its CEO, Fernando Pinto, with Head of HR, Fábia Martins, cut the green ribbon symbolizing the official “inauguration” of an organic garden at ROQ Group’s premises !

With 40 years of history ROQ is part of the past, the present and especially the future of the printing history.
