Road Trip Reiterates Versatile Nature of Ravi Patidar of Naturo Graphics

21 November 2022: Ravi Patidar, Director of Naturo Graphics (P) Ltd., Indore, is a versatile personality, which is reflected in his versatile Royal Enfield Himalayan bike (for On-road or Off-road conditions) on which he recently undertook a ride from Indore to Zanskar valley in Kargil and back, covering about 3,500 km. As a bike lover, he has 10 different bikes. Congratulations to the dare-devil who stood at third place in the recent Motor Cross bike race in Vadodara. Ravi has been indulging in bike adventures for the last six years. In addition, cycling is also his passion.

His recent accomplishment has been covering about 3,500 km (from Indore to Zanskar in Kargil and back), along with other six bike riders, all wearing military-type jackets. It involved traversing the most challenging terrain, riding on his favourite bike, Himalayan, the first dual-purpose motorcycle from Enfield. “Testing the toughest terrains is no easy task. It requires a lot of practice, patience, tolerance, attention and safety is the top priority while covering hundreds of kilometres of ride. You have to keep in harmony with all that comes on the way, bumpy roads, rocks, wind, or maybe a snowfall and everything. On the terrain, we ride with full attention, because any silly mistake can cause a huge disaster. Often, we would cover 900 km per day or sometimes we could cover only 30 or 40 km per day depending on the circumstances. Of course, we are assisted by Google Maps and the Royal Enfield app, which keeps our smartphone connected to our Himalayan through Bluetooth. In addition, we are supposed to know some basic technical aspects of the Bike so that in case of any problem on the ride, we should be able to troubleshoot, else we will be in deep trouble. We also carry a kit having food, medicine and other essential items.”

Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom. The sport has further evolved into a sub-discipline similar to Supercross.

Ravi participates in two types of competition: One Motocross, a lighter competition of riding the bike with a 1 km track. Supercross is a little tougher competition involving some stunts, etc. He has participated in such competitions at Bhopal, Pune, Baroda, etc.

Ravi is also a member of bicycle riders’ clubs such as Cyclomaniacs. Occasionally he takes part in a cycle rally being held on Saturdays or Sundays, covering about 50 to 200 km, on a predetermined route.

Now, Ravi Patidar’s son Dhruva, an engineering graduate, is following his father’s footsteps in bike adventure activities. Dhruv recently participated in a 400 km cycling challenge. “My father motivates me every time I felt weak or exhausted. My family support, my father’s tips and motivation helped me a lot in completing these events successfully,” says Dhruv.

Established in 1995, Naturo Graphics (P) Ltd. is an ISO 9001:2008 certified, complete printing solution firm, engaged in the manufacture of heat transfer stickers and tags for garments, Labels, Stickers, Barcodes, Tafeta labels, packaging, etc. While Ravi Patidar successfully runs his garment accessories manufacturing business which includes heat transfer labels, tags, packing etc., he also finds time for many professional and personal development activities. He makes it a point to visit leading printing and textile-related exhibitions, participate in award competitions, attend technical seminars. He explains that, ‘Time management, family support and having a right team in the factory,’ are some of the factors which enable him to spare time for non-business activities such as bike hobby. Describing his planning for adventure activities such as bike riding and bicycle rally, Ravi says “Once my adventure activities are planned, then I work day/night to finish work in hand and move out and my team and family members take care of the business. Once I am back from the adventures, I do not take a rest. I quickly look into the pending matters and then balance myself.”
