Rajesh Masand elected as CMAI’s new President
21 October 2020: At the 57th Annual General Meeting of CMAI, the newly Elected Members of the Managing Committee elected Rajesh Masand as the new President of the Association for the years 2020-21 and 2021-22. The meeting was held on September 30, 2020 in the Mumbai Office of the Association. CMAI also conducted the election to the managing committee of the association for the years 2020-21 & 2021-22. The results of the elections were declared at the above annual general meeting.
Masand nominated the following members as the office bearers of the association for the years 2020-21 & 2021-22: Jayesh Shah, Vice President; Rohit Munjal, Vice President; Santosh Katariya, Honorary General, Secretary; Naveen Sainani, Jt. Honorary General Secretary; Ankur Gadia, Honorary Treasurer and Paresh Vora, Jt. Honorary Treasurer.
Since 1982, CMAI has been taking initiative to establish National Garment Fair & Regional Garment Fairs to connect domestic garment manufacturers with retailers, distributors and agents across the country. Being the largest conglomeration of Retailers and Manufacturers, it serves as a single sourcing destination thereby infusing efficiency of time and cost into the supply chain. These Fairs have today not only become the most important annual trade events for the Indian Apparel Industry’s domestic market but have substantially contributed to the rapid growth of the overall market size.
