Printcolor introduces special screen inks for signage with enhanced outdoor durability
29 October 2020: A visual message, put up outdoor often has limited life, but the message must be seen – permanently. This requires high-quality printing inks that can withstand wind and weather. So, Printcolor’s outdoor-resistant Series 388 product range, the glossy and highly pigmented solvent-based screen printing ink is particularly suitable for long-term outdoor use due to its properties and high-quality components. The typical application is printing on plastics, such as on stickers, outdoor signs or other technical applications. Furthermore, the color mixing system allows high flexibility for our customers.
The high-gloss, very resistant and highly opaque 2C pad printing ink Series 786 from Printcolor stands out for its environmentally and user-friendly formulation. The series is free of PAH and halogen and is produced without the use of bisphenol A. It is suitable for printing technical components, automotive parts, toys, baby articles, bottle caps or disposable masks. The ink system also impresses with its high level of detail and durability.
The pigment titanium dioxide (TiO2) was reclassified by the European Chemicals Agency ECHA in February 2020. Titanium dioxide is a white pigment with excellent light-scattering properties in paints, coatings and printing inks that conceal the underlying surface. The new classification of the raw material leads to changes in product labelling. Printcolor will introduce these changes in coordination with the associations and their members in the course of 2021.
