Piyush Goyal Meets Benoit Bazin, CEO, Saint-Gobain in Paris

15 April 2023: Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India, shared in a LinkedIn post about how it was a pleasure to meet Benoit Bazin, CEO, Saint-Gobain in Paris. “Discussed how India’s lightning pace of infrastructure creation presents a unique opportunity for the company to further invest and benefit from our growth story,” he stated.

Responding to the post, Benoit Bazin stated, “Very honored of my second one-on-one meeting in two years with Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal. Fantastic support, inspiration and encouragement to accelerate further our successful Saint-Gobain journey in India.”

Saint-Gobain entered India in 1996 and has achieved strong and profitable growth since then. Today, it is a leader in all its major businesses, has 26 manufacturing sites (nearly all of which are certified under ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000) and more than 16,186 permanent and temporary employees in India. In 2021, Saint-Gobain registered sales of about INR 87.384 billion.
