30 November 2022: Following the successful introduction of 1, 2, 3 Colour Roll to Roll Screen Printing Machines for Label Printing, Vasai-based Umrao Automation (P) Ltd. now offers 4 Color ‘Roll to Roll’ Screen Printing Machines. This roll-to-roll screen printing machine is suitable for bulk printing of labels on any roll media such as PVC, soft plastic circuit, heat transfer paper, polyester, vinyl, etc, from 50 microns to 300 gsm. Umrao’s roll-to-roll label screen printing machine is already being used in cycle stickers, automotive decals and heat transfer labels application.

Highlighting the specific advantages of Umrao’s roll-to-roll screen printing machine, Rajendra informs “By investing in our roll to roll screen printing machine, label printing firms can have an economically viable label printing especially when there is a volume job. They can bypass using single color flatbed semi-automatic screen-printing machines for such jobs because in single-color flatbed one has to print multiple colors, one after another thus requiring a lot of time. Considering that approximately a flat bed single color machine can print about 850 impressions per hour, that means a 4 colour job would require approx. 4 hours to print 850 pieces. On the other hand, Roll to roll label screen printing machine offers higher productivity, there is a cost saving on labour and a lot of time is also saved. In all, there are a total of 12 models of Umrao’s roll to roll screen printing machines with a max print size of 15×20 inches. These include 1 color with UV, with IR and with UV/IR combo; 2 color with UV, with IR and with UV/IR combo; 3 color with UV, with IR and with UV/IR combo; and 4 color with UV, with IR and with UV/IR combo. The UV curing machine is fitted with 300 watt/inch lamp and air-cooling system integrated with loop feedback.
The machine is fitted with a winder, and unwinder units, specially designed for intermittent web feeding. It has a hole punch pilot guide system for accurate repeat pass for multiple times. The machine is fitted with an infinite variable and independent print and flood speed adjustable from 0 to max speed.
Umrao Automation’s roll to roll label screen printing machines are designed and built-in in compliance with international quality standards, using the latest production methods and tools. Only branded parts and servo motors are used to ensure stable running and maximum printing accuracy.
The roll-to-roll label screen printer is fitted with a squeegee carriage on a hard chrome-plated solid steel shaft with linear bearing motion (Japan make). It has adjustable squeegee and flood coating speed through an AC gear motor, coupled with an AC frequency inverter. It has a pneumatically adjustable squeegee and flood coating pressure and fine pressure adjustments with dial indications. The squeegee angle can be adjusted from 0 to 30 degrees and it has an adjustable skew angle. There is a selectable print cycle system with flood first and print or print first and then a flood.
