OPA celebrates 75th Independence Day
18 August 2021: 75th Independence Day was celebrated by Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) at its office at South City, Ludhiana. National flag was unfurled by Parveen Aggarwal, President of OPA and after reciting national anthem sweets were distributed. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Kamal Chopra, General Secretary OPA said, today we cherish those personalities who made our Independence possible. A special acknowledgement also to Neeraj Chopra who brought happiness & made us all proud. Freedom with pride and happiness was a distant dream once. It is therefore to celebrate the national days is the prime objective of OPA, Chopra added. Let’s appreciate the personalities responsible for everything we have and celebrate with cheers.
Earlier speaking on the occasion, Parveen Aggarwal said, every year Independence Day is celebrated in India on 15th August with zeal and enthusiasm. It is the time to remember our heroes who were instrumental for the independence of our nation. It is the time to pay homage to all known and unknown stalwarts who sacrificed their life so that we can live peacefully in an independent country. This year it will be marked India’s 75th Independence Day.
“Neeraj Chopra brought special happiness for the country it is therefore his life size cut-out was also the key attraction during these celebrations, members were busy taking selfies with this life size cutout. Telling the importance of the eve, Aggarwal said, it is for the first time ever that our athlete brought Gold in javelin throw at the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics. Each and every Indian is feeling proud to say cheers we are celebrating the Independence Day with his cutout,” he added.
