New Team at Sri Lanka Association of Printers (SLAP)
14 August 2021: During 61st AGM of Sri Lanka Association of Printers (SLAP) held on 30th July 2021 at SLAP Auditorium, Colombo Peter Deckker taken over as the President SLAP for the next two years. The out-going President, Delan Silva, thanked the Committee Members for an outstanding two years of office as President SLAP 2019-2021.
In his message to Indian Printers Peter Deckker said, “It is indeed an honour and privilege to contribute a message of goodwill and friendship to the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP), as the newly elected President of the Sri Lanka Association of Printers (SLAP) for the year 2021-22. AIFMP has been a long standing friend of the SLAP and we have enjoyed several occasions of goodwill and collaboration in our respective landmark events.”
Deckker further added, “I need to make special mention of the dynamic and enterprising President of the AIFMP and Chairman of World Print and Communication Forum (WPCF) Prof. Kamal Chopra, who could be described as the driving force and leader behind the cordial relationship and support extended to the SLAP over the past years, keeping the AIFMP in the pivotal position as a leader to the printing industry in India influencing Sri Lanka and the world of printing.”
Extending the hand of friendship and cordiality to the AIFMP, Deckker said, “I wish that we could connect online and advance our progress and contribution to the printing industry capitalizing on the digital print format via the digital platform connecting our countries, printers, businesses and our hands, in friendship for mutual development and benefit. Best Wishes to AIFMP in 2021 and 2022, let’s overcome the challenges we face, together……”
