Mimaki’s Three Products Won the “EDP Award 2021”
12 May 2022: Mimaki Engineering Co. has announces that three of its products, “JFX600-2513”, “TS100-1600” and “3DUJ-2207”, have received the “EDP Award 2021” in the EDP Award hosted by European Digital Press Association (EDP).
The EDP Awards are presented to innovative products in the digital printing industry as selected by the EDP Technical Committee, a group of independent consultants, editors, engineers, and related experts. Following last year’s award, this year the company received the “EDP Award 2021” in 3 categories: Flatbed/hybrid printer (max. 100 m2/h), Roll-to-roll textile printer (max. 100 m2/h), and 3D additive printing (full-color).
The award-winning Printers:
– JFX600-2513 – Large Flatbed UV- LED Inkjet Printer
The JFX600-2513, which won the award in the “Flatbed/hybrid printer (max. 100 m2/h) category,” is a UV-LED flatbed inkjet printer that achieves a maximum print speed of 200 m2/h. It can be equipped with six colors, including Light Cyan and Light Magenta, in addition to the basic four colors (CMYK), enabling the production of high-quality sign graphics with a variety of expressive capabilities. White, clear and primer inks are also supported. While enhancing design, the use of primer ink allows to improve the adhesion of the ink when printing on glass and metals, which expands the range of supported media and enabling printing on a wide variety of media.
The EDP Technical Committee commented, “The JFX600-2513 brings strong added value to Mimaki’s flatbed products. In addition to its improved print speed, the JFX600-2513 is very competitive given its ability to offer selectable ink sets according to user requirements. It also comes standard with IoT support and the option to connect to peripheral devices.”
– TS100-1600 – Sublimation Transfer Inkjet Printer for Textiles
Awarded in the “Roll-to-roll textile printer (max. 100 m2/h) category” , the TS100-1600 is an entry model of sublimation transfer inkjet printer that offers a good balance of operational performance, image quality, speed, and cost, and achieves a maximum print speed of 70 m2/h. This model can handle from samples to large lot production. It is capable of printing to dedicated media (transfer paper) to transfer its print to polyester materials with using heat transfer system. Its application is versatile, ranging from banners for indoor and outdoor display, banner flags, to T-shirts and handkerchiefs. Furthermore, the DAS (Dot Adjustment System) function, which automates dot position and feed rate compensation, and the use of ECO PASSPORT certified ink make this product ideal solution considering the operator’s work environment.
– 3DUJ-2207 – Compact Full-Color UV-Curable Inkjet 3D Printer
The 3DUJ-2207, awarded in the ”3D additive printing (full color) category,” is an entry model of a compact 3D printer that realizes full-color object manufacturing with more than 10 million colors using a UV-curable inkjet system.
In addition to full-color expression with more than 10 million colors, it can produce transparent expression using clear ink and translucent color expression by combining clear and color inks.
The EDP Technical Committee commented, “With the 3DUJ-2207, Mimaki is bringing its proprietary full-color 3D object manufacturing process to users in a variety of markets where color plays a critical role. The 3DUJ-2207 is also compatible with the Mimaki 3D Print prep Pro cloud software service. This tool allows even inexperienced users to easily and effectively correct data errors, optimize model geometry, and match image quality and processing speed.”
