KNIT SHOW to Take Place on 12-14 August 2022 at Tirupur
22 March 2022: KNIT SHOW, said to be India’s Largest Exhibition of Textile and Garment Machinery, Fashion Accessory, Fabrics, Process and allied services will take place on August 12-14, 2022 at Velan Hotel Fair Ground, Tirupur, Tamilnadu.
Organised by City Leaves, Knit Show is a good platform for the exhibitors for making new in-roads into the Tirupur. Being held after a gap of 2 years owing to the pandemic, the Knit Show is expected to draw a large number of visitors from all over India. This trade event is expected to host 500+ exhibitors and spread over 1,50,000 Sq. ft. (Gross) with 30,000 trade visitors expected from all over the Globe.
Tirupur, the Knitwear hub of India accounts for 90% of India’s cotton knitwear export. It has spurred up the textile industry in India for the past three decades. There are over 10,000 garment manufacturing industries in Tirupur, employing over 600,000 people. The cluster on average exports textiles worth Rs.25 billion a month. Cotton knitwear sent from here are in much demand in European countries. Some of the world’s largest retailers include C&A, Nike, Walmart, Primark, Adidas, Switcher, Polo Ralph Lauren, Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger, M&S, FILA, H&M, Reebok import textiles and clothing from Tiruppur.
Tirupur contributes to a huge amount of foreign exchange in India. Special Industrial Parks have been developed to support the textile industry. Nethaji Apparel Park, Tirupur Export Knitwear Industrial Complex, SIDCO Industrial Estate and J. S. Apparel Park are a few that are operational. Nethaji Apparel Park has 53 companies manufacturing knitwear for exports.
