Keetronics makes a strong impact during two events – showcasing Latest offerings for specific segments at IREE 2023 and Automation Expo 2023
18 October 2023: Pune-based Keetronics (India) (P) Ltd. recently made a visible impact through its participation at two exhibitions; the 15th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE 2023), the global platform for railway technology & services organised by CII from October 12-14, 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi and prior to that, Automation Expo 2023, during the 17th India International Trade Expo, which was held from August 21-24, 2023 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (East), Mumbai.
Rajesh Kulakarni, Founder and Managing Director, Keetronics India (P) Ltd., shared the highlights of their products showcased and the response received “At IREE 2023, in addition to the regular input devices we had displayed touch screen and piezoelectric keyboards. Considering the growing demand of electronic equipment in the railways for communication, announcement systems, air conditioning, passenger PNR enquiry, there is a need to have robust keypads,” he said.
“Presently our products are installed in Vande Bharat and all premium trains. In addition to this it’s now mandatory to have a anti-collision device called ‘Kavach’ in all trains. At Keetronics we see a very good demand for keyboards for this product. The dedicated freight corridor (DFC), Bullet trains and Metro stations have control rooms and they need tables, which can be adjusted for height as people like to work standing and also to switch lights on/off; all these tables are equipped with our capacitive touch keypads,” Kulkarni added.
Explaining the rationale behind participating in IREE 2023, he said, “Indian Railways has been modernising and expanding at a very high speed and we should be a part of this journey. In my opinion, the Government should regulate the import of equipment, which is produced in India, so that Indian companies will be preferred for orders; at present most of the technologies are from abroad.”
Keetronics specialises in manufacturing PCB and PCF membrane Switches, customised Computer Keyboards with the latest Duraswitch and Capactive technology. The company has launched Touchmatik, which is a Touch Electrical Switch. “We have introduced its Advance Input devices and Switches with the new upgraded “Epoxy Foam Surface Technology.” The Epoxy-Foam technology is a modular concept which gives the liberty of choice of flexible layers with more application benefits on surfaces like concave and convex types. Reaching far ahead to meet the ideas and expectations, the innovation offers the freedom to choose the switches of any shape, surface structure, color and back light and switching feedback,” says Kulkarni.
Asia’s largest event for the rail transportation sector, spread across 30,000 sq mts with participation from 11 countries, IREE is the only event in India for the rail transportation sector with active involvement and participation of Indian Railways, which is the third largest rail network in the world. Automation Expo provided an ideal platform for the Indian and global automation industry to converge and showcase cutting-edge technologies, advancements, systems and services.
