Karnal Print & Pack Cluster Visited by Patiala Printers Delegation
18 May 2023: Amit Arora, MD of Karnal Print & Pack Cluster greeted the visiting delegation from Patiala on 6th May 2023 and Prof. Kamal Mohan Chopra, President World Print & Communication Forum (WPCF). Giving details of the project, Amit Arora said that the Karnal Print & Pack Cluster under CDP of Government of India, Ministry of MSME came in to being during 2011, with the registration of SPV under companies act at New Delhi with authorized capital of Rs.45,000,000/-
Elaborating the details, Amit Arora said, we are seven directors who are taking care of all the facilities. The common facility centre (CFC) was established in the year 2015 at Plot No. 1, 2 & Part of 3, Sector 37, Industrial Estate, Karnal. Presently we have full-fledged facilities like automatic five ply board line, CtP, Flexo based label press and complete book printing and binding unit to cater the needs for 350+ printers from Karnal and neighbouring region. The service of CFC is provided at most economical rates so that even the smallest printer can take the benefits of this CFC.
During one-to-one meeting after visiting the CFC, speaking with the delegation from Patiala, Prof. Kamal Mohan Chopra highlighted the latest guidelines for Cluster Development Programme (CDP) of Government of India, Ministry of MSME, that as per the latest guidelines issued by the ministry, Gol grant will be restricted to 70% of cost of project from Rs.5.00 crore to Rs.10.00 crore and 60% of the cost of project from Rs.10.00 crore to Rs. 30.00 crore. The contribution of state government will be 20% and the remaining 10 or 20% are to be contributed by SPV.
He persuaded Patiala Printers Delegation to prepare a diagnostic study report (DSR) before planning the detailed project report (DPR). It is the time for networking, because due to internet and digitization the demand of commercial printing is decreasing, and we must work in close cooperation in complete networking to remain competitive, to avoid the ever-increasing competition.
