Jeetendra ‘The Print Specialist’ Conducts Packaging Session at SIGA on National Paper Day (12th July 2023)
18 July 2023: National Paper Day was Celebrated with excitement at Chennai based SIGA (Salesian Institute of Graphic Arts, Chennai) on 12th of July 2023. The One day session which took place from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm was attended by 60+ students of final year of printing and packaging section. The event featured a packaging session where enthusiastic students came together under the guidance of Jeetendra ‘The Print Specialist’ to showcase their involvement in creating eco-friendly alternatives – paper bags and rigid boxes etc.
The event kicked off with a brief introduction about the significance of National Paper Bag Day and the importance of sustainable packaging. He highlighted the impact of traditional packaging materials techniques on the environment and encouraged the students to explore innovative solutions using paper.
Equipped with paper, cutter and adhesive, the participants eagerly embarked on their packaging journey, guided by expert advice. Throughout the session, he provided valuable tips and techniques to enhance the quality and functionality of their creations. His expertise and attention to detail ensured that the students gained a deeper understanding of sustainable packaging principles.
Under Jeetendra’s guidance, the room buzzed with a harmonious blend of conversations, and the rhythmic sound of folding paper. The students demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm as they meticulously crafted paper bags of various shapes and sizes.
