Industrial Print Integration (IPI) 2023 Reveals Complete Conference Agenda

21 September 2023: From inspirational keynotes to technical insights, two main and two special tracks with a total of 66 presentations: Industrial Print Integration (IPI), Europe’s leading event for specialist print technologies has announced an impressive range of topics presented by key market players and research centres. An event by ESMA, supported by drupa and Specialist Printing Worldwide, the conference takes place on November 28-29, 2023 at Crowne Plaza Düsseldorf-Neuss and welcomes an international community of suppliers, OEMs, innovators and technology users from various industrial markets.

“The name says it all – IPI focuses on the integration of print in ever more manufacturing processes, within established and innovative market segments. With a record number of presentations, we dive deep into the technology behind inkjet and screen printing but also take a closer look at particular applications which may be less visible at traditional print shows,” explains Peter Buttiens, CEO of ESMA, the event’s organiser.

Inspirational and informative keynotes
IPI’s extensive programme opens with high-profile keynote speeches to inspire and inform the industry. Witte Technology presents case studies of advanced screen-printed electronics in mass production of security features. Saule Technologies, world’s pioneer in perovskite solar cells, explains the inkjet printing process behind their production. The European Printing Ink Association discusses the impact of current sustainability goals on the industrial printing sector.

Technical sessions and new research findings
Two main conference tracks give forum to educational sessions exploring inkjet, screen and other printing techniques for different market applications. Major topic blocks cover Customised print systems, Printhead design, Ink and ink formulations, Functional fluid deposition, UV-LED curing and IR drying, Big data management, Automation and robot integration, Sustainability and circularity.

Additional third track
This year organisers added two special sessions, in cooperation with expert partners. Alexander Watson Associates (AWA) chairs a track dedicated to in-mould labels, in-mould decoration and in-mould electronics. Following latest market data and future trends, key industry players discuss the printing process, ink-layer combinations and automation approaches.

Hasselt University invited collaborators from the ACT-3D project – over the last months they investigated the optimal combinations for printing of electronic circuits on three-dimensional plastic substrates. At IPI they show their findings in the field of screen printing, thermoforming, laser coating, as well as adhesives.

Extended networking area
After IPI’s premiere in May 2022, there has been a significant growth in interest from the industry. As of September 2023, the exhibitor area is sold out meaning an increase of 30% and a lot of new names joining.

The full list of tabletop exhibitors includes: Agfa, Arcolor, ChemStream, Cyan-Tec, DataPhysics, DoDxAct, Droptimize, Dr. Hönle, EIT 2.0, Encres Dubuit, Epson, Eptanova, Eurecat, Evonik, Fiery, Formulaction, Fraunhofer ENAS, Fraunhofer IPA, Fujifilm Ink Solutions, Global Inkjet Systems, Hamamatsu, Hasselt University, Henkel, HMR Expert, Heraeus Noblelight, Hohenstein Laboratories, IACS, ImageXpert, Industrial Physics, Inkatronic, IST INTECH, Kao Chimigraf, KIWO, KNF, Kronos, Kyocera, Lambda Technology, Mankiewicz, Marabu, Meteor Inkjet, Micor, Momentive, Nanoinitiative Bayern, Nazdar, Neatjet, Notion Systems, Nur Ink, Pall, Phoseon, Polytype, Proell, PVF, Ricoh, RKS, Roki Group, Seiko Instruments, Siegwerk, Soliton, Sugino, Sun Chemical, Teca-Print, Thieme, Tigres, Toshiba, Tracxon, Trijet, Uviterno, Zeller+Gmelin

Since 1990 ESMA proudly serves the industrial printing sector. The European association for printing manufacturers in screen and digital printing has grown into an organisation representing industrial, functional and speciality print. Throughout the years ESMA developed the Knowledge Hub concept which now provides almost 70 European manufacturer members and Technology Partners with cross-technology expertise. Every ESMA member enjoys advantageous terms at major trade shows and ESMA’s own conferences.
