IITF Embarks Upon a New Journey with Many Firsts

27 November 2023: India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) has organised 2023 edition of IITF with larger participation than the previous editions. Every year, IITF is growing in size and scale and it is hoped that next edition will be on much bigger scale. ITPO is consistently delivering IITF as a world-class event as stated by Anupriya Patel, Minister of State, Commerce & Industry while inaugurating 42nd edition of IITF of ITPO at a well-attended function held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Present on the occasion were Som Prakash, Minister of State, Commerce & Industry, Mauro Mendes Ferreira, Governor of Mato Grosso, Brazil, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Industries Minister, Govt. of Delhi, Kundan Kumar, Resident Commissioner Govt. of Bihar, Ajit Kumar, Resident Commissioner, Govt. of Kerala, Pradeep Singh Kharola, Chairman and Managing Director, ITPO and Rajat Agarwal, Executive Director, ITPO, foreign delegates, participants and media persons.

In his welcome address, Pradeep Singh Kharola, Chairman & Managing Director, ITPO stated that this edition of IITF will witness many firsts such as enhancement in area booked from 75,000 sq. mtrs. to 1,10,000 sq.mtrs. introduction of a Navigation App, availability of vast parking space to cater to parking requirements of exhibitors as well as the visitors which will unburden the roads surrounding Pragati Maidan from traffic congestion, placement of LED Screens which will facilitate the exhibitors and visitors. For the first time, a huge amount of circulation space has been created for the exhibitors and visitors to move around easily so that they can enjoy their visit.

Anupriya Patel commended ITPO and all other stakeholders for providing an ideal platform to industry, especially to start-ups, women entrepreneurs and rural artisans. She indicated that Bharat Mandapam would also be a unique symbol of ‘New India’ as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. India is on track to become the third largest economy in the world. The theme of this edition of IITF is in line with overarching theme of G-20 “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – United by Trade”.

“In the spotlight this year, ‘Bharat Mandapam’ hosted the esteemed G20 New Delhi Summit in September, generating heightened interest and excitement among the public. On the inaugural day of the fair, IITF 2023, more than 7,000 business visitors flocked to the venue by 6:00 pm, underscoring event’s significance and widespread appeal.

The fair is open for Business Visitors from November 14 to 18, 2023, while all the visitors can visit the fair from 19-27 November 2023. Apart from New Exhibition complex, the fair has been organised in Halls 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 12A. There will be no sale of tickets at any of Pragati Maidan Gates and Supreme Court Metro Station/Pragati Maidan Metro Station.
