11 July 2024: IDMS Infotech (P) Ltd. recently organised a seminar on ‘Smart ERP for Smart Businesses’ with a focus on the MSME printer segment. Held at Pride Hotel, Ahmedabad on 4th July 2024, the seminar was supported by Screenprinting & Graphics Association of India (SGAI), Screen Print India magazine and Printing Samachar magazine. The program was attended by 30+ attendees from the multi-colour offset, packaging, industrial/ commercial screen printing categories and print consultants.
The program commenced with an introduction by Narendra Parmar, Publisher and Managing Editor of Printing Samachar, who explained in detail about the necessity of automation in today’s competitive work environment, the problems and challenges faced by the MSME segment and how this tailormade or customised ERP Software can revolutionise the overall working of a company. He also gave a brief introduction of IDMS Infotech and its founders.

Shailesh Deshpande, Managing Director, made an insightful presentation on “Propelling Business Growth through Digital Transformation,” which captivated the industry professionals present. His visionary outlook resonated with the audience, emphasising the imperative of embracing innovation to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape. He highlighted the advantages offered by IDMS’s unified Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, which offers a comprehensive suite of solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of the industry, empowering businesses to streamline operations and maximise productivity.
During his presentation, Shailesh Deshpande talked about aspects like business growth – strategy, ecosystem & framework, the business benefits of adopting this smart ERP and also explained about robust security protocols added in the ERP software line. The significance of end-to-end data encryption, role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, secure API practices, data backups & disaster recovery and regular security audits & monitors was also explained as in today’s work culture there are various data security threats and cyberattacks.
He then briefly talked about the pricing for cloud-based ERP for printing businesses starting from (one time) implementation cost of Rs.6,00,000 and (monthly) maintenance & support charges of Rs.12,000 and more.
Following that, he and Nikhil Mohrail showcased a live demo of the smart ERP software in detail and that left the attendees mesmerised. They were really happy as the in-depth features incorporated really help the printers in their day-to-day business.
Devang N. Sheth, Secretary, SGAI and Publisher, Screen Print India magazine, spoke briefly about IDMS Infotech, its Founders and conveyed that as of today, they have implemented 40+ installations with 500+ end-users. Their corporate office is at Thane and development centre in Nagpur, with a staff strength of 30+ and support staff based at Bangalore, Pune and Belgaum. He also spoke about the importance of automation and how it can help in improving the bottom line of your printing business.
The seminar concluded with an interactive question-answer session where the audience queries were answered by Shailesh Deshpande, Nikhil Mohrail and Nilesh Saraf in detail. The interaction was quite good with many questions being asked and answered. Finally, Shailesh Deshpande presented the ‘Vote of Thanks’ and requested the attendees to informally interact over dinner.
