Henkel Presents Innovative Printed Electronics Solutions at LOPEC 2022
18 February 2022: Henkel Adhesive Technologies will present a range of functional material innovations for printed electronics at the LOPEC 2022 on 23-24 March in Munich. Under the core theme ‘SMART Surfaces’, the business sector will highlight its portfolio of solutions for a wide range of applications in diverse markets such as surfaces for industry and automotive, antennas, health and hygiene. Henkel Adhesive Technologies will also offer application demonstrations at its stand 508 in Hall B0.
“LOPEC is the leading international platform for printed electronics, bringing together all the major global players from research to application,” explains Stijn Gillissen, Head of Printed Electronics at Henkel. “In recent years, we have seen growing demand across various industries for the development and market launch of new products and surfaces with smart functionalities – this trend will continue to grow. We are convinced that, in addition to our materials, market experience and processing know-how, close cooperation along the entire value chain in particular is crucial for future innovations. That’s why we want to make the best possible use of LOPEC this year to highlight our expertise in printed electronics – with our materials, with applications that we have developed together with our partners and with tangible live demonstrations at our stand.”
Henkel is an industry-leading supplier of materials and services in the field of printed electronics. Its broad portfolio of functional coatings under the Loctite brand includes silver coatings, carbon coatings, dielectric and other non-conductive coatings, and silver chloride coatings. These materials enable Henkel’s partners to develop printed electronics applications that are tailored to meet the specific properties that industrial customers demand. These include, for example, temperature coefficient coatings (PCT) for self-regulating heating elements, force-sensitive coatings for pressure-sensitive surfaces or coatings that detect moisture.
In addition to the extensive exhibition display, Melanie Wendrikat, Market Strategy Manager for Printed Electronics at Henkel, will give a live presentation at the LOPEC Business Conference. Entitled ‘Printed Electronics – Creating value beneath the surface’, she will elaborate on how printed electronics as a key tool enables the development of smart surfaces that are seamlessly connected to the environment.
