Dr. Vijay Pandit Nominated as Meerut District Convener for Ganga Vichar Manch by Water Ministry
14 November 2020: Dr. Vijay Pandit, Head Sales and Marketing, Bharat Inks, Delhi-NCR, has been nominated as Meerut District Convener for Ganga Vichar Manch of Namami Gange Project by the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. The appointment letter to this effect was presented to Dr. Vijay by Chandra Prakash Chauhan, State Convener of “Namami Gange” Project, Ganga Vichar Manch.
On being entrusted with this important responsibility, Dr. Vijay Pandit said: “Along with speeding up the Namami Gange campaign of the Government of India, a public awareness campaign will be conducted from Gangotri Dham to Gangasagar to keep every section of the society pollution-free, including the Ganges. Through which people living in many states, cities and rural areas will be linked with Namami Gange campaign.”
Dr. Vijay, Founder, President, social activist, writer and Founder of Green Care Society, has been working in the field of environmental protection and literary in all India and Nepal. “I have been involved in the printing industry for the last 15 years. But, other than my profession, I am a writer, poet, an environmental activist. I have written three books, two poetry and one book on River Ganges,” says Dr. Vijay.
“Considering Dr. Vijay Pandit’s efforts to free the pollution of the Ganga tributaries including Ganga, this important appointment is being made for sensitization and public awareness works,” said Chandra Chauhan.
“Everyone will be motivated to maintain plantation, organic farming and biodiversity on the banks of rivers. Special attention will also be given to cleaning the ghats of rivers, making them aware of scientific methods of waste management,” said Dr. Viyay.
“I also often get engaged in “Adopt bicycle” campaign to drive away pollution. Members of Green Care Society go on a bicycle drive to spread the message to the society about the use of cycle with the message: “Adopt bicycle – drive away pollution,” he said.
On receiving this important responsibility, Dr. Vijay Pandit was congratulated by many literary and social organizations from all over India and Nepal.
