The BFHS Book of Wisdom provides aspiring industry managers and students with some of the most practical and visionary ideas that have formed our present industry. The BFHS Book of Wisdom 2020 Supplement, which includes essays by BFHS industry authorities Sid Chadwick, Jack W. Stoughton, Jr., Larry Wilson, and Frank Woods, provides key insight and lessons for success. The original 248-page printed book includes 47 essays from BFHS authorities spanning nearly all segments of the graphic communication industry.
Harvey Levenson, Cal Poly Professor Emeritus and editor of the BFHS Book of Wisdom, says, “Our plan was to publish another full book, but shutdowns and related COVID-19 developments prohibited submissions from many BFHS members as priorities changed. We were fortunate to receive four excellent essays, and wanted to get them out so readers’ can benefit from them. This also allowed keeping the original book alive as a dynamic document, maintaining the format by book designer and BFHS honoree, Marina Joyce. The book is particularly beneficial for up-and-coming industry leaders and for students studying graphic arts management.”
Copies of the 2019 printed BFHS Book of Wisdom can also be obtained by contacting June A. Crespo, Director, Affiliate Relations, PRINTING United Alliance at jcrespo@printing.org / 412-259-1778. With a donation of $50 per book, all proceeds go to BFHS student scholarships.
