Ananta Group to set up $25 m lingerie factory in Bangladesh EPZ
21 October 2020: Z&Z Lingerie Ltd, a Bangladeshi company, plans to set up an intimate garments manufacturing industry in Chattogram Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) with an investment of US$ 25 million. An agreement to this effect signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Z&Z Lingerie Ltd. at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka, on 15th October 2020. Md. Mahmudul Hossain Khan, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Sharif Zahir, Managing Director of Z&Z Lingerie signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. The Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General S. M. Salahuddin Islam, was also present during the signing ceremony.
As per an official announcement, the company will produce annually 43 million pcs of different kinds of lingerie like Bra, Panty, Legging etc. and Sportsware. Z&Z Lingerie will create employment opportunity for 4736 Bangladeshi nationals. Mentionable, this is the sixth investment in EPZ under the same owner.
