Dscoop India’s Print Future 360 Meetup in Mumbai: A Catalyst for Print Business Growth
25 December 2024: Dscoop is a community of HP Graphic Technology owners and their teams, focused on improving print businesses and leveraging HP digital solutions. Members meet regularly worldwide, including in India, under the broader theme of sharing and caring. Recently, Dscoop India concluded its Community Led Meetup in Mumbai on 18-19 December 2024 with 72 participants from across India. The event, themed Print Future 360 Mumbai Meet, was organised by the Dscoop West committee, including Saifee Makasarwala (Silverpoint Press), Jigar Satra (Reliable Prints), Kalpesh Mehta (SRK Creative), Bhavan Navapara (Klick Digital Press), Dhruv Kaneria (Smart Albums), and Denver Annunciation (Janus International) alongside Rashmi Sharma (Dscoop Community Success Manager, South Asia).
The event focused on solutions for challenges and strategies for business growth. Speaker Faisal Sheikh, founder of Factories of Future, inspired attendees with his insights on transforming family-run businesses, using relatable Bollywood film references to highlight the importance of modernising practices. Milan Modi, DGM-Marketing at Madison World, discussed social media’s potential, emphasising strategies for gaining visibility on small budgets.
A virtual session on “AI-Powered Printing” by Guy Bibi and Sima Morad from HP Indigo explored how AI can revolutionise printing, from photos to packaging, showcasing successful global case studies. The session left attendees eager to incorporate AI into their businesses.
The panel on Business Transformation, hosted by Ashok Pahwa (HP India), featured Saifee Makasarwala, Aditya Upadhyaya (Super Foto DG Xpress), Isha Deshpande (Trigon Digipack), and Kayu Dhanbora (KolorKode). They shared their experiences of business transformations, focusing on the importance of risk-taking, understanding client needs, and thinking ahead.
Manju Ramarao from Redington discussed AI applications on HP Indigo and introduced the “Khushiyon ki Kitab” advertisement, promoting photo book printing. Kalpesh Mehta expressed gratitude to the annual industry partners, recognising their support for the event.
Denver Annunciation encouraged attendees to join the Dscoop community on dscoop.com, highlighting its role in his own business success. He presented upcoming events, including Virtual events, the Dscoop Edge US conference, and the Asia Pacific Japan Region Summit.
Aditya Upadhyaya, Chair of the Dscoop India Board, thanked the participants and sponsors, particularly HP, for advancing digital printing technologies. He recognised the importance of collaborative support in the community’s growth.
On December 19, attendees visited Silverpoint Press, gaining insights into best practices and process optimisation. The visit fostered strong industry connections and provided valuable takeaways for participants to apply in their businesses. The Mumbai Meet concluded with a renewed commitment to community-driven growth.
