Dubai-Based Inkstinct Textile Printing Implements Kornit Presto MAX for Digital On-Demand Fabric Decoration Versatility, Efficiency, Sustainability
16 September 2023: Kornit Digital LTD. has announced that Dubai-based Inkstinct Textile Printing, a subsidiary of Al Khayalee Group, has installed Kornit Presto MAX system for single-step, sustainable digital decoration of natural and synthetic fabrics on demand. A partnership brokered by regional technology distributor ICON, Inkstinct Textile Printing becomes the Company’s first customer in UAE.
Originally a screen printer of t-shirts, Inkstinct Textile Printing transitioned to sublimation printing and soon realized the limitations in substrates compatible with that decoration technique. In addition to reducing the minimum order quantities associated with sublimation, they saw Kornit’s Presto MAX as a logical next step in increasing their production agility, eliminating graphic and color limitations across both natural and synthetic fibers, and streamlining the end-to-end process for faster turnaround and a less wasteful, more environmentally conscious, more cost-efficient routine.
Presto MAX transforms virtual concepts into brilliant custom fabrics with industry-first capabilities of brilliant white printing on colored fabrics. Furthermore, the newly released NeoPigmentTM Vivido ink set is achieving darker, deeper blacks and colors and establishing new fashion standards with a pigment-based process. Designed to meet the requirements of fashion, home décor, and textiles.
Furthermore, Inkstinct cited Kornit Digital’s cloud-based management system enabling remote monitoring and control of production operations as critical to their decision to implement Kornit Digital technology. These features contribute to faster production times, increased efficiency, and reduced costs.
“Kornit’s system has definitely enhanced my business model and product range, providing me with more opportunities and capacity while helping to satisfy the rising demand for environmentally friendly products,” said Mohammed Khalifa Harib at Inkstinct Textile Products. “Compared to traditional and non-pigment digital textile printing methods, this system eliminates several steps in the process, making it highly efficient and cost-effective. Each textile printing is of the highest quality, with vivid colors – the white printing is particularly impressive – and excellent detail.”
Harib lauded Kornit Presto MAX for enabling “more room for creativity and flexibility in design choices” relative to competitive systems, while adding Kornit’s technical support staff was “very supportive and helpful” throughout the installation and onboarding process, giving operators confidence in long-term use and maintenance of the highly automated digital production system.
“We are proud to partner with ICON, a relationship that is generating new business opportunities to deliver on our vision of elevating the textile industry through sustainable, on-demand digital fulfillment of creative expressions and possibilities in all corners of the globe,” said Chris Govier, President of Kornit Digital EMEA.
