Photokina Supports Saath Charitable Trust by Sponsoring Creche for Children of Construction Site Workers
10 June 2023: Photokina Chemicals (P) Ltd. (PCPL) has recently collaborated with Saath Charitable Trust, an NGO based in Ahmedabad, to give back to society in a way that directly uplifts those who need it the most. The company has sponsored and is financially supporting all the related expenses for operating a creche for one year at a construction site. Approximately 30-35 children of the construction site workers will be taken care of in this way.
Previously they were all playing with cement, mud and related materials at the building site and there was no one to take care of them. Now, with PCPL’s funding, these small children are given basic education and provided with nutritious food twice a day. They get to live in a clean and healthy environment and get to learn and play under safer circumstances. The creche and educational facilities are operated after obtaining permission from the builders.
Jagdish Sheth, Managing Director, PCPL says “This initiative is part of our CSR activity. We believe in giving back to the society and these small children are at the pre-primary stage; a little bit of support extended to them can make a big difference to their future. If a small child gets an opportunity to live in healthy surroundings and study regularly, it will also develop a better understanding about these things going forward and it will eventually benefit the entire family along with society as a whole.”
