Obituary: Industry Veteran Rajubhai of RK Label Printing Machinery Passes Away
22 November 2021 Rajubhai Thanigachalam, Founder and Proprietor of Ahmedabad based RK Label Printing Machinery (P) Ltd, passed away on November 21st, 2021, due to a major heart attack. He was just 50 years and left behind a married daughter and a son Kishan, two brothers-cum-business associates – his elder brother Annadurai and younger brother Naresh, in addition to a larger number of loyal customers and friends and relatives. As the news of his sad demise spread, condolences are pouring in from all corners.
Giving details of Rajubhai’s rise and success, his son-in-law Prabhakaran said that the visionary entrepreneur has had a rag-to-riches story. Rajubhai came to Ahmedabad in 1992 all the way from Pondicherry as an Offset Press Operator. The label printing industry was lucky enough to witness the establishment of R. K. Label Printing Machinery (P) Ltd. by Rajubhai in 1995 within 3 years of his job as a press operator, thus he wrote his own success story. He had set a goal of becoming a Rs.300 crore company by 2026.
The company soon became a reputed brand in India and abroad. Today R. K. Label Printing Machinery manufactures and exports semi-automatic and automatic label / sticker printing machinery and accessories. They are also specialists in making Special Purpose Machines for Die Cutting, Punching, Piercing operation, etc. Besides India, the company has exported its products to the USA, Canada, Europe, UAE, Africa, etc.
The company became a ‘pioneer’ in some of the machinery range. Their employee strength has grown from a mere dozen to 250. The company’s manufacturing facility is located in GIDC Vatva, Ahmedabad, with all the necessary infrastructure.
