SCHUTZEN introduces Alginate free Reactive printing system
24 February 2021: Alginate is almost always now supplied in its adulterated from with terrible Viscosity and Filtration standards which lead to choking of screens and dosage issues. This leads to Down time Product Wastage inconsistent print results. So, SCHUTZEN Chemical Group, the leading diversified specialty chemical manufacturer has launched sustainable Alginate free Reactive printing system – Schutzenthick-75 and Schutzenthick-111.
While SCHUTZENTHICK-111 is a High viscosity Low Solid hybrid liquid form Thickener based on a 100% Alginate free Natural polymer system SCHUTZENTHICK-75 is a High viscosity Low Solid hybrid liquid form Thickener based on a 100% Alginate free Natural polymer system.
According to the company, it is now possible to print more sustainable without the dependence on Liquid reactive dyestuff using EXPANSE range of Liquid Reactive Dyestuff. The Reactive printing thickeners are best utilized with EXPANSE For Cellulose & Cellulosic Printing on rotary, flatbed and screen printing machines
Schutzenthick-111/ Schutzenthick-75 offer high Shear Resistance. Shear resistance is in simpler terms the strength of the thickener paste to hold the rheology against physical forces. Running the thickener paste on Rotary Printing Machines can be very demanding especially when running on high speeds. During this time the thickener is continuously under shear forces from the squeeze blades.
SCHUTZEN products allow trouble free printing within minimum adjustments during long meters of print production. This technical advantage will also allow for the machine to be run at very high speeds. Increase shear resistance run at high speeds also mean better coverage therefore better economy.
Reactive printing is usually undertaken on Flat Bed, Rotary or Tables, using Sodium Alginate as a thickener for reactive dyestuff to print on Cellulose & Cellulosic. However, Now Sodium Alginate presents the following problems High Adulteration with Salt to reduce cost. Pure alginates are expensive, Fluctuate in Price & provide not very good colour build up on Viscose Cellulosic. Sodium Alginate 100% is not good to print on continuous printing machines due to not ideal rheology profile.
